Reed Exhibitions Makes a Stand With Open Source Data Integration Solution

LOS ALTOS, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Talend, the recognized market leader in open source data integration software, today announced that Reed Exhibitions, the world's leading events organizer, has selected Talend Integration Suite and Talend Data Quality to help better manage the migration and integration of company data.

Reed Exhibitions will be using Talend's software to support its global enterprise applications program by providing real-time integration between its online web platform which services more than 400 Web sites and key business applications including salesforce.com, a staple for Reed's sales and marketing teams. In conjunction, Talend's software will help to synchronize the company's global team as well as help align processes, such as sales order processing across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.

Reed Exhibitions runs more than 470 events in 37 countries, bringing together more than seven million active event participants worldwide, and with 2,700 employees in 38 offices around the globe, the company handles high volumes of data. This also means that Reed Exhibitions receives data in a range of different formats that must be integrated accurately and quickly.

Dominic Shine, CIO, Reed Exhibitions commented: "We needed a sophisticated solution from a strategic partner to support our global rollout of enterprise platforms that had the ability to orchestrate sharing of data and enable streamlining of processes across our online, sales and financial platforms and importantly, to do so in real-time." "As we continue to harmonize our platforms across our group while supporting a range of existing disparate systems and a range of different formats for processing sales orders, we were attracted by the concept of using an open source tool to help keep costs low. It is important that we use a solution that can work efficiently alongside other real-time resources and has the capability to move data automatically to help meet client demands and compliance regulations, and Talend's enterprise open source solutions met our criteria perfectly," continued Dominic.

Talend's award winning product, Talend Open Studio, is the most widely used data integration solution in the world. Talend Integration Suite provides value-added features and services that extend Talend Open Studio and is the first open source enterprise data integration solution, designed to support multi-user development, and to scale to the highest levels of data volumes and process complexity. Talend Data Quality works in conjunction with Talend's data integration tools to analyze and correct erroneous, duplicated or incomplete data.

François Méro, Talend's general manager EMEA, commented: "Leading in one of the most competitive industries, Reed Exhibitions needed a solid open source data integration solution and Talend Integration Suite and Talend Data Quality are exactly that. As intuitive solutions, they will enable the company to maintain a consistent framework for all industry events and therefore continue to provide a reliable and high standard of customer service throughout its operations. We look forward to working with Reed Exhibitions for future years to come." About Talend Talend is the recognized market leader in open source data integration.
