Nov 02, 2009 (Breckenridge American - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- County Commissioners elected to move toward making the Stephens County Courthouse more energy efficient at Monday's regular meeting at the Stephens County Courthouse.

Dowell said his company would help reduce lighting and other costs by 70 percent.

Information for the grant must be submitted by Nov. 6, Dowell said. Following the unanimous vote, information to have the grant awarded to the county was submitted.

"Sharon (Trigg) does an outstanding job, and Helen's (Haddock) and Terry's (Sullivan) offices do a great job of keeping everything in order." The group also confirmed election judges, alternate judges and bilingual election clerks for the Nov. 3 election.

Election Judges include: Precinct 1 -- Ann Guy; Precinct 2 -- Nelda Snow; Precinct 3 -- Jean Hayworth; and Precinct 4 -- Beth Calvert.
