Alijor Marks 3-Year Anniversary With New Features and Launch of New Health Blog

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, November 20 / MARKET WIRE/ --

Alijor, LLC (www.Alijor.com) marks its
3-year anniversary with a host of new features as well as the premiere of
its new health & wellness blog (www.AlijorBlog.com).

Alijor is an online healthcare marketplace where patients and providers can
connect. Founded in 2005 by Allison Guimard, the site offers patients the
opportunity to search (and rate) local providers, as well as post their
medical needs.

The site has grown tremendously since it first launched 3 years ago. "It's
amazing to look back and see how far we've come," says Kristy Williams,
Alijor Operations Manager. "It's really exciting that people are catching
on to Alijor's concept and realizing how important price information can be
in making their healthcare decisions." In the last year alone, Alijor's
provider postings (which include specialty and fee information) have
increased from 759 postings to over 60,000.

To celebrate the anniversary, Alijor is proud to announce new features,
including:

-- Narrow Search: patients can narrow their search to specific procedures
(such as rhinoplasty, microdermabrasion, acupuncture for weight loss, etc.)

-- Average Price Summaries: patients can look up average price summaries
for certain procedures

-- Focused and Expanded Geographical Search: patients can focus or expand
their geographical search area (between a 5 and 50 mile radius)

-- Save Function: patients can save (and rate) provider profiles, and share
them with friends

Alijor is also launching its first blog, the Alijor Blog
(www.AlijorBlog.com). In addition to highlighting company news, the Alijor
Blog serves as an open platform for health and healthcare specialists to
share editorials on their areas of expertise. Notable entries include a
guest post by Steve Parker, founder of www.BreastCancerAwareness.com, and
exclusive interviews with Harvard Business School economist Regina
Herzlinger, and Robert Hendrick, author of "My Healthcare is Killing Me."
"On Alijor, patients can connect with providers to address their specific
need(s). Simply opening a line of communication between provider and
patient is a huge need. Alijor facilitates just that and more," says
Hendrick.

About Alijor: A Health 2.0 pioneer, Alijor connects patients with providers
and encourages price transparency in the healthcare industry.

  • Understanding the Voice of the Customer: Today's contact centers involve a sea of information that must be captured, processed, and distributed on a daily basis. Effective use of this information enables companies to remain competitive in an increasingly aggressive and customer centric marketplace. An overwhelming percentage of the information that circulates in a contact center's audio recordings, documents, web pages, and emails is unstructured in that it resides outside of a normal structured database and cannot be managed efficiently. These unstructured items contain valuable information, yet this information historically has been difficult to organize, categorize, and access.
