Race Against the Clock With EA Mobile's Tetris POP, a New Twist on the World's Most Popular Mobile Gaming Franchise

LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)-- EA Mobile(TM), the mobile division of Electronic Arts Inc (NASDAQ:ERTS), today announced the availability of Tetris(R) POP, an exciting new addition to the world renowned mobile gaming franchise. Featuring 17 brand new variations of the famous Tetris(R) gameplay formula, Tetris POP provides a new take on the Tetris experience with frantic challenges against the clock accompanied by brilliant colors, animated backgrounds and high-energy music tracks.

"Tetris POP is the perfect companion to our other Tetris products," said Adam Sussman, VP Publishing for EA Mobile. "We've created a unique spin on the classic game that provides fans with a variety of short, challenging bursts of great Tetris gameplay."

Every one of the 17 new gameplay variations poses its own intriguing and exciting challenges; players can trigger bombs in Detonator, create electrical connections in Circuit, turn up the heat in Furnace or alternatively, take it back to basics with Vanilla mode. All variations are frantic time-based challenges, so players must think fast to complete objectives and rack up the big points!

In POP Chrono mode, players select their desired play time and let the game tailor a play session to fit around the time available. In POP Mix mode, players can customise their gameplay by selecting their favourite variations from the play list available.

Tetris POP is the latest addition to the EA line-up of mobile Tetris titles which includes Tetris(R) Blockout(TM), Tetris(R) Mania, the original Tetris, and the recently launched iPhone version. In March 2007, EA also launched a multiplayer version of Tetris which has recorded almost seven million multiplayer games to date.
