Celio REDFLY Drops Price $100 and Now Supports 19 Smartphones

SALT LAKE CITY --(Business Wire)-- Celio Corp, maker of the REDFLY Mobile Companion, today announced a 20 percent price drop to an MSRP of $399 and also released drivers for 12 additional smartphones, growing the REDFLY compatibility list to 19 of the most popular Windows Mobile smartphones from HP, HTC, Motorola, Palm and Samsung.

REDFLY is a 1x6x9-inch, two-pound, mobile terminal with a large screen and full keyboard for smartphones. Use REDFLY for instant-on access to notes, e-mail, attachments, spreadsheets, presentations, word processing, CRM software or line-of-business applications. REDFLY unleashes the full power of smartphones enabling the REDFLY/Smartphone solution to become the mobile computing and communications platform.

REDFLY is the perfect enabler of mobile remote access and virtualization clients such as Citrix, RDP, Stoneware, GoToMyPC or LogMeIn, since REDFLY's 800x480-pixel display, keyboard and touchpad allow the mobile workforce to interact with the smartphone's software using a laptop-like environment instead of the normal small screen and thumb keyboard.

REDFLY's revolutionary smartphone terminal technology is unlike a laptop, netbook, or UMPC because it has no CPU, memory or OS. There's no need to sync with a smartphone or manage the REDFLY in any way. REDFLY is a critical new solution to the enterprise mobile market because it gives greater functionality to the smartphone decreasing the security risk of data loss or network access because all data and applications remain on the smartphone - a device that can be remotely wiped if lost and that inherently has lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

"Our customers are quickly determining that in many enterprise deployments, a REDFLY-enabled smartphone can become the only needed mobile computing platform. As we roll out to the enterprise, we're getting feedback and validation from our customers regarding their two main reasons for purchasing REDFLY - Total Cost of Ownership and mobile virtualization," said Celio Corp CEO Kirt Bailey. "When compared to a laptop, netbook or UMPC, REDFLY offers a 90 percent TCO savings while providing most of the same functionality and increased productivity for the mobile workforce. Our customers find it easier and much more productive using REDFLY to access remote desktops, servers, applications and virtualized environments compared to using a smartphone alone. REDFLY's screen, keyboard and touchpad allow interaction not possible on the smartphone by itself."

The REDFLY has changed the mobile computing equation for the following reasons:

-- REDFLY capitalizes on the growing smartphone computing movement

-- REDFLY is a smartphone terminal - NOT another platform for IT to secure and manage

-- If REDFLY is lost, it contains no company data and unlike laptops, smartphones have lower TCO and can be remotely wiped increasing data loss protection

-- There's no OS, CPU, syncing or storage to worry about

-- The REDFLY has an eight-hour battery life and can actually charge the smartphone as you work

-- REDFLY offers one-tenth of the TCO compared to other alternatives

-- REDFLY dramatically increases worker productivity, particularly for mobile workers

REDFLY supported smartphones now include the following models:
